SB20 World Champions for 2019 are the French again, this time Robin Follin - Give me Five prevailed after an amazingly consistent set of results across 9 races. Second were Russia - B Team helmed
by Aleksey Lesnikov, and third were Australia - The Imp helmed by Andrew Smith.
Poor Buoy sailing with Paul Hine, Richard Anderton and Mark Gillett was 3rd GBR boat finishing in 16th place. Other British team boats of John Pollard on Xcellent were 6th, and Charlie Wheelan on
Breaking Bod were 8th in a tough international fleet of 65 boats.

The SB20 World Championships will be held at COYCH in Hyeres from 21-25 October 2019.
The current estimate is for 60-80 boats, including many international teams. Hyeres is a great sailing venue and last hosted the World Champs in 2013.
Poor Buoy will be there for the Worlds and pre-events on 13-15 September and 4-6 October.
The SB20 European Championships were held in Dun Laoghaire in late August, and was a very hotly contested event with 47 boats from across Europe. Dublin bay is a cracking sailing venue, and was
the host to the first World Championships for the class in 2008.
Vis Sailing team won the event ahead of Porco Rosso and Sin Bin. Poor Buoy was the 4th GBR boat finishing in 16th place.
A cracking event was hosted by the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes for the SB20 World Championships in 2017.
Winners were SportsBoatWorld skippered by Jerry Hill, with Geoff Carveth helming.
